    Hi Owen
Thanks for info about where they landed etc. Hopefully you will have received this old photo, although I am not sure how to do it
This is the only photo we ever had. Anne

    Hello Nick
Thank you very much for the information, and would be very grateful for any further info you can send me.
Look forward to hearing from you again
    Many thanks

I have checked the books I metioned but there is no mention of the 112 Fd Rgt on the dates concerned. However it looks as if you've more than enough to be getting on with, thanks to Owen.

    Hi Nick
Thank you for looking in your books, yes Owen is doing a good job.
How is Chippenham tonight, it is very windy on the coast here.

He belonged to 217 Battery, when the Regiment was stationed on the so call Island

At one stage 217 Battery received about twenty direct mortar burst killing Gnrs Ives and a young COOK, named Mullis

    Hello Phillip
Thank you for the photos and info, we do know that Graham Mullis was in 217 battery, and that he was a gunner, and not a cook, any more information would be gratefully received.
    Thanks
    Anne

Although his rank was gunner, he could have been battery Cook

    Thanks

In RA terms a Sec (section) is half of a battery, as to the 11AA this might just be the identification no. of this section or detachment.
    This is only a guess!

    Hi Rob
Thank you for the information, is there any chance of finding out the exact abbreviation of my question.
Many thanks again for your interest in helping me solve this riddle, to go back to my previous question, three days after the Sec 11AA was on the record, there was an entry for 14 days F P .
Is this significant! Are the 2 entries linked.

    Hi Anne

Coming into this thread late as the war area was not one of my own and I didn't think I could be of any help.

However, your query regarding an entry in your relatives records may be a little more in my line.

What's the chances of seeing a scan of the actual entry in his records that mention Sec 11AA ?

I own a copy of the Manual of Military Law and it has a section dealing with Field Punishment but, todate, I havn't been able to spot anything remotely like Sec. 11AA.

A belated welcome to the forum and the best of luck in your research

    Ron

    Hello Ron
    Thank you for your help.
Would it be possible to send you a scanned copy privately by e-mail, as we would rather not put the details on the Forum.
Thanking you for your time and trouble

Thanks for the reminder, we remember it well, but haven't been there for about 30 years !!!!!
We do go back to Swindon to visit family, but not so much these days, getting too old now.
