I am currently researching a war memorial plaque which was located in Hindle House, Arcola Street, Hackney. The plaque contained names of 24 local people that lost their lives in WW2, one of those names being a family member. Unfortunately this plaque was lost during building works. I am not only looking to get this plaque replaced, but also to research all the persons listed on it in order to tell each of their stories.
I am presently researching Gunner Ernest Charles Edward Pearson. He was with the Royal Artillery 64 (The Queens Own Yeomanry) Anti-Tank Regt.
What I know about him already is:
    Rank: Gunner
    Service No.: 1090057
    Date of Death: 15/02/1941
    Age:29
Husband of Sophie Pearson of Hackney

He is buried in Black Notley St Peter and Paul Church, Essex

I visited the grave today, picture below. I would like to know how and where he died. The Rev at the church tells me that he may have been taken to the War Hospital in Black Notley, where war wounded were taken and he may have been buried in the church yard as his family may have not been able to afford to transport his body. Why would he have been taken to a hospital in Black Notley? I would like to know the whereabouts of his regiment at this time. I would also like a photo of him and to make contact with any of his relatives.
