Personally, I'd say that "Bermondsey Queens" sounds a bit, erm..... y'know

What was the Queen's nickname in the War? Maybe use that?
Or, as per the mine flag pic posted earlier, howabout "FirstInTunis"

So long as you have your meta tags filled with stuff relating "1/6", "Queens", "Bermondsey", etc you'll still get picked up by the search engines

best of luck and I look forward to watching the progress

I do think that this website should cover the whole of 131 Brigade as they were all in it to-gether from the days of the 44th Division at El Alamein right through to the end - and it might have to be emphasised that while the 1/6th were the First INFANTRY battalion into Tunis - both 11th Hussars from 7th Armoured and 2nd Derby Yeo. from 6th Armoured were actually the FIRST British Troops into that City...
    Cheers

    Hi all.
Im new to this particular site, but cant help notice my Uncle James Bannister's name on the deceased, killed in action list. Ive got limited information regards my uncle, but would like to know and share more information regarding him, his regiment and the war theatres he was involved in. I was told, by my late gran, he died at Dunkirk. October 21st, 1944. Look forward to hearing from people, thanks.

    Mtranter2012.

Your gran's may have got the location of Pte Bannister's death wrong. He is shown as buried in HAGGATE BAPTIST CHAPELYARD which is some way from Dunkirk and four years after the withdrawal of the BEF.
