Detailed accounts of bombing raids on Britain?? Do they exist??

Hi all. I am trying to compile a detailed account of the bombing raids on my home town of Crewe in Cheshire, especially the raid on the town in the early hours of April 8, 1941. Do actual detailed bomb damage records exist, and if so what is the best way of obtaining them. Thanks for reading, Mark

At this time it was usual for Chief Constables to report the details of enemy raids within their area.
