The letter reads : “Condolences We humbly express our deepest gratitude and wholehearted respect to the two spirits of war dead, late army technical sergeant Mr. Masaru INOUE and late naval civilian employee Mr. Naruyuki KASE, who fell as blooms of the Greater East Asia War and did enhancement of the Imperial Army's prestige. Now, on the occasion when the war situation is finally serious, for our nation that loseth able talents such as dear all, the deep regret is truly unbearable, and moreover there is thing that hath once our thoughts reach the feelings of the bereaved families, particularly 'tis increasingly non-prohibitable to shed tears of compassion. Nonetheless, dear all who can willingly lay down their lives for their country, your souls are striving under the belief of certain victory by the 100 million people's heart shaken up to destroy U.S. and Britain; 'tis to be hoped that their departed spirits will be cornerstone for the rise of Asia and will complete the purpose of the holy war.
