2696736 William Smeaton Craigie Hyslop, 1st Scots Guards who was wounded 21/4/43 - checking the Scots Guards history on that day B Company were sent forward from Grenadier Hill to Banana Ridge to assist the Duke of Wellingtons who were being heavily attacked, but the Dukes seem to have been a little insulted at the suggestion they were in trouble so sent them back - in the trip to and from the ridge the Company was heavily shelled with 2 killed, and officer, CSM and 2 OR's wounded - I'm assuming Guardsman Hyslop was one of the 2 OR's
2721219 Edmond (other paperwork has Edmund/Edward) ROSCOE, Irish Guards, I've been after and Irish Guards one for a bit so grabbed this when I saw it - Gdsm Roscoe had no overseas service up to September 44 but not sure if he saw any action later
2619910 George TAYLOR, 5th Grenadier Guards, wounded 5/5/43 and again 4/2/44 - the book includes a note of a Commando course which had me thinking Gdsm Taylor had joined the Commandos but its been suggested this was more a short course given by the Commandos to units about to go overseas
2693086 Thomas William ANDERSON of 2nd Scots Guards (he reenlisted 1949 as 2281559 in the Royal Pioneer Corps) - in 1939 he was appointed Drum Major but relinquished the rank in 1942
You may be lucky and find some of his papers in findmypast. They usually left SG Regimental Records when a man transferred elsewhere but I found the odd exception to the rule where copy papers were retained. Presumably transferred/re enlisted as a Piper/Musician? Steve
2655537 Ronald Nelson MOORE of 2nd Coldstreams, he suffered a gun shot wound to the right leg 21/5/40 - he later transferred to the RCOS
2721210 William CRAWFORD of 1st Irish Guards - his number is 9 after Gdsm Roscoe and they joined up the same day/place

2666211 Eric Jack PARKE of 5th Coldstreams - he very kindly made the below note of his path through N W Europe - he was originally picked for a draft to the 3rd Battalion (twice - July and August 44) in the Med but got switched to the 5th - the book is a post War replacement from when he was with the 3rd Battalion
