Hi all. We are commemorating a pilot in our local cemetery (Richard Pryce Hughes, buried in Wybunbury Cemetery, Nantwich, Cheshire) who was killed when his Halifax crashed near Hindhead on April 15, 1942. His aircraft was low on fuel and both starboard engines were not in operation. He instructed the rest of the crew to bail out while he attempted an emergency landing. I am trying to find out the Christian names of the crew. Their details are 2nd Pilot R. Atkinson (1379069), 1st W/Op. E.A. Stubley (570365), 2nd W/Op. J.S. Triggle (1169974), Tail gunner J.W. Tyson (551714) and F/Engineer L. Trembath (945098). I have the details of Navigator John Raymond Francis Ganderton, who was killed just a few months after the incident. Any info on these men would be gratefully received. Thanks very much, Mark.
