Hi As part of a project with the Royal British legion and the friends of the down Cemetery I am researching all the war dead that are buried in the Down Cemetery, Trowbridge, Wiltshire. This includes pre WW1, WW1, WW2 and post war. I am also researching all the soldiers that are mentioned on a grave stone as a memorial but are not buried there. I am interested in pictures of the deceased and there stories. The list so far covers 160 men and women. If any member's could give me any tips on find more information i would be grateful
hello and welcome you need access to the genealogy websites which costs money there you might find family trees etc Re WW1 and WW 2 casualties as you know the CWGC will have these on their database Re WW2 casualties you will have to apply for their service records which at £30 a go is costly it might be an idea if you can to start a thread with a WW2 casualty here http://ww2talk.com/index.php?forums/searching-for-someone-military-genealogy.13/ and see how it pans out. We do have a few very good genealogist on the forum who will advise you further regards Clive
