    Hi,

My father-in-law has just given me a few items from family members who were in both world wars.

The 1st items are these small cloth patches ..... there are two of them........ they are approx 1"x3" in size

Can anyone help with what the patches are for / how they'd be used/worn..... and more importantly what does the DW stand for?

All we know about the person they came from (the wife's great uncle Jack) was that he was rescued at Dunkirk.......... I'll be sending off for his service record this next week.

    Ta

Until relatively recently, you could hardly give these away - but since Nolan's "Dunkirk" demand - and prices - have climbed.
