  1. Thanks TD it is a pleasure to have someone who understands how systems work, and I'm grateful to you for the various strands of data which is probably the best result I could have wished for regarding my dad's involvement. Maybe TD should stand for Total Description.

Thats not a description I would use at all - some things I know from having done them a few times, the rest ............ 'Computer says No!

I go back to the days of punched tape, NC or CNC and floppy disks (spelt that way in those days) and computers would be used to make our life easier except today we are servants and not masters

I am researching Operation XD.M which was the St. Malo combined navy/Royal Engineer demolition team that was inserted into St.Malo by HMS Wild Swan on 17th June 1940. I have read HMS Wild Swan by Peter C. Smith and have the operational reports from the mission written by the commander of the XD operation and the two leaders of the naval and RE demolition teams involved. But I have not managed to find Lt Commander John Younghusband's report as master of the 'Wild Swan'. It is a vital piece of the picture for me and I would appreciate any help that can be given. Many thanks, Philip
