Hello everyone, Small introduction: My name is Lars, 34 years old, I live in The Netherlands and have a big passion for ww2. And lately a big interest for the liberation of my own hometown. And that is what brought me here.. ik was hoping to gather some more information here regarding the liberation. Greetz
Thanks everyone!! My hometown is "Ommen" province: "Overijssel" It was liberated by the elements of the 2nd Canadian division on April the 11th 1945. I have found a couple of war diaries so far, however I'm still hoping to find the diaries of the "royal regiment of Canada" "Hamilton light infantry regiment" "Essex scottish regiment" Cheers!!
You are in luck coming here, apart form the expertise and some have records aplenty. There are several threads here when you search Ommen; have a peek.
