My name is John Hornbeck. I am the author of a new book that will be published later this year. "A Gift of Hope: Finding Faith Behind Barbed Wire" is the true story of an American Prisoner of War in World War II -- my father in law. Places included in this work included the German military hospital in Graz, Austria; Dulag Oberursel interrogation camp; Dulag Wetzler transition camp, and especially both Stalag Luft IV and Stalag Luft I. Planned launch date for the book is December 7, Pearl Harbor Day. My special area of interest is all things World War II. In addition to my father-in-law's experiences, my father was in the Pacific Theater. For now, I will mainly be a fly on the wall. Exploring the forum and listening in.
