1. After our adoption of the grave of a British soldier at Venray War Cemetary in the Netherlands, we have started our research. Little by little we find more information about our hero. But we still lack a picture! Where could we send a message to, to which authority, to try and find a, for example, possibly made official picture? We are hoping to find a portrait photo in uniform. Or any picture for that matter. Many thanks in advance for any tips!

Adding his name, unit and army number to your post might help...

  4. We have found several info before here with help of many here. But no pictures yet. I was thinking I can maybe file a request somewhere at an official UK governmental institute? Our hero is Lt Roger Horace Albert Gregory. Service number 164277. 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry, Royal Armoured Corps. Died 18th October 1944.

I know they have a Museum somewhere but I can't remember the location. Have you tried that option?

  6. Ah yes! The Oorlogsmuseum in Overloon. That is indeed also an idea to check. Thanks!
