    Hello,

I am making a follow up for

    RONALD HENRY GARDNER

    Service Number: 5193355

    Died 18 January 1945

    1st royal tank regiment

Casualty Details | CWGC grave registration report.JPG

on his grave registration paper 4 others are killed on the same day. Probably same tank but can’t find that anywhere. The temporary/ war grave was on schilberg (Echt) and was probably killed during the liberation of Echt(Netherlands). Date of death matches the fighting around Echt.

I can’t find any war diaries about his unit hopefully somebody here can help me. Would like to read a few days prior to the 18th and some days after.

If someone has some pictures of the liberation of Echt I can take some than and now photo’s I live in Nederweert so that’s no trouble

    Thanks in advance

    Gr yordie

I made contact with Ronald's niece via ancestry, and she now has contact details for yordie & the person who has adopted Ronalds grave.

    Hi Yordie,
Did you ever find any more information around the dates leading up to the 18th?
Once of the other men was a family member, we have a lot of info around grave sites and relocations but not much from before that
