More information please on this night attack by Catalina FP252 Bay of Biscay April 1943. I understand the pilot Sqd Ldr Frank Squire broke off when an enemy aircraft got on his tail. What submarine was it and was the attack successful?

I am researching his history on behalf of Helensburgh Heritage Trust and the story of MAEE RAF Helensburgh, where Squire served. I am aware that his RAF career was somewhat over shadowed by the success of his son, Air Marshall Sir Peter Squire. Hence my interest in Frank. Do you know of him?
