A bit of a long shot but here goes

Victor died 19th October 1944 at Lambourne Essex and is buried in St Marys and All Saints Lambourne.
    Casualty Details | CWGC
I have no other information on him but hopefully !!

Can someone give me some info on the duties of a driver (apart from driving !) in the RASC and what does the "T" in his service number stand for.

    Thanks

    Patrick

    Hi

Casualty lists 1939-1945 on FMP says he 'died' which suggests it was from a sickness and therefore he wasn't killed in action, died of wounds or died as a result of an accident.

No unit details either - Just 'RASC'

No hit on he RLC archive either.

RASC used 2 prefixes. S and T. S was supply and T was technical.

    Hope this helps

    Gus
