Once in a blue moon... Rare 'blue moon' to enchant Halloween stargazers This will be the first time since 1974 that there has been a Halloween full moon across Ireland and the UK, according to Astronomy Ireland. And, as it is the second full moon of October, this is also known as a 'blue moon', although it will not appear as blue in the night sky. "The perfect full moon occurs at 14:49 on Halloween and as the sun sets, the moon will be rising at the same time" said David Moore from Astronomy Ireland. "The Halloween full moon probably only happens a few times every century and it won't happen again in Ireland and the UK until 2039." ...
I miss that little moon box. Still think it may well have an effect on the internet. Always seemed a correlation with holocaust deniers & other over-excitedness. Could never work out how to reinstate it after the software move. Blue moons can penetrate torrential downpours, right? Right? Bugger.
I saw Damon Albarn at The Globe last night and he was really hoping the Harvest Moon would be above us. Sadly, not the right angle!
Drat, missed it in its best view. Perhaps Owen could grab a rake and drag it back! Wiltshire = Moonrakers. My wife is one. (Nothing to do with James Bond).
