Just received the Cumbria's Museum of Military Life newsletter and in today they have shared a link to a virtual tour of the museum for people who would like to see it. https://cumbriasmuseumofmilitarylif...b8f2f0a92259b761ff&id=ba06f8e16d&e=3954005b05 And here is a link to it's youtube page regarding the raising of the regiment, (I hope you don't mind Helen Skelton ?) https://cumbriasmuseumofmilitarylif...b8f2f0a92259b761ff&id=8356247770&e=3954005b05 Hope you enjoy Mike.
I had a wander around the museum using the link Mike. That is really quite impressive. I liked the WW1 wall display of Bronze Memorial Plaques to the Regiment. Not much on the Far East, but a nice little museum.
Cheers Steve, glad you liked it yeah the WW1 bit is good there is a memorial as you approach the plaques that is remembering some of my boys from Cockermouth that the museum saved when the building was demolished. Mike.
It made me wonder if the Chindit Society couldn't do something similar once we have drawn all our artefacts together in one place and arranged what we do have into some sort of order.
