Chris Wonder if you have any thoughts on this chap? Presumed died of wounds Sidi Barrani - why Brookwood Memorial?
Chris Brookwood Mem related 260295 2LT H.H.P LARSEN GEN LIST (SOE- Denmark) 30.4.1943 Medjez el Bab Mem Tunisia Casualty 'Unearthing Churchill's Secret Army' SOE Casualties - John Grehan & Martin Mace p245 Thirty one year old Second Lieutenant Hans Henrik Pay Larsen codename Trick was parachuted into Denmark in February 1942. It was later reported he had become a 'dangerous liability' and was shot by a fellow agent on 30 April 1943. He should be listed on the Brookwood Memorial ? Thanks Mark
Whilst I totally agree with you Mark this one is going to be difficult. The casualty roll simply shows him as died at home or stations abroad. He is sandwiched between North Africa & Tunisia casualties which is how the original error probably happened. His file is available at TNA, but of course this option is not good at present. If you could PM me & then send a copy of the page by e mail we might be able to sort it that way Cheers Chris
