    Good find.

One possibility--and the paperwork I have may shed more light on this--is that a small-ish contingent was sent to Jamaica to act as guards for PWs and internees. He could have died there or in transit to or from there.

    Got him: a D-Coy man.

He died in Mount Aureol Hospital (51st General Hospital) 'After a lengthy illness'.

I wonder why and how he was subsequently moved?

Confusion reigns. Temptage mentioned in an earlier post in this thread that he needed photos from various countries in Africa one of which was South Africa. I offered to help and Dido Valley Cemetery is in Simon's Town South Africa

George Anderson Boswell died on 17 September 1942 at Freetown, and was buried in King Tom Cemetery. He was a master mariner.
Would love to be able to see a photo of his headstone

temptage I thought it would only take a few weeks......

Unfortunately my original offer was 6 years ago, as you may have read a few posts later, Sierra Leone was hit by the Ebola virus around that time and I never did hear back from him. There was another offer back in January this year from someone who was visiting Freetown, but again I have never heard back from him either.

I did see that the post was a few years old and knew it would be a bit of a long shot. I've heard that the cemetery was used for the Ebola victims so wasn't sure if this was possible now.
Many thanks for getting back to me
