    Anything earlier than this listed Guy? I'm sure I dig some digging years ago and found someone earlier than him.

    Curious. That's Casualty List No 78.
    Question: what date was No 1 issued?
    I find it surprising that there were no casualties before this...or were they all non-Army?

    I agree, the North West Frontier was an on going conflict. Woodward was the first man killed in action to appear on the first casualty list. It was a reply to SDP's question about the date of the list No.1

    Pte. Bodfish died as a result of the self inflicted wounds.
