Northwood Park camp winchester

  1. I have been going through the war diary's of the 59th coy and in 1940 they where building acomadation at Northwood Park I was Hoping to find some pictures but there is none anywhere.
    From what the war diary's say it would have been a big camp with perminate structures.

  3. My great grandfather was a Royal engineer In 59 coy and in the war diares they where sent to Northwood park Winchester on th 4 Oct 1940 to work on acomadation for 4th division this was nissen huts and other buildings.
    They where they were based out of there for nearly the next 2 years working on defences mine fields bridges among a few things.
