The above, William Arthur Pritchard, was my dad's brother. He also had a son, William, and now a Grandson Ben. My father was Noel, who served in the 2/5 Sherwood Foresters, and was in N Africa and also landed in Salerno Italy in October of 1943 and was severely injured in Dec of 1943.
Thanks for adding your family info. Do you have any photos of your uncle? Are you researching your father's service? Anyone in the family apply for copy service records?
I do have a photo of William in uniform. But not one of my dad in uniform. I do have my dad's service records, but did wonder if there were war diaries around the times he was injured in N Africa, and Salerno Italy. I have all the info on William. Thank you for your reply it's very kind of you to respond so quick, such an emotional time of year for me.
