I'm looking for some help from every to find the right place to post a photo of a war memorial. I recently took a trip to Northern Ontario, and came across a memorial dedicated to "First Nation Veterans of James Bay". This is a very remote community in Canada and I thought the commemoration of the community members who sacrificed their lives in WW1 and WW2 would be of interest to forum members. Please feel free to pass this photo on to anyone involved in creating a record of War Memorials. I did have to opportunity to meet the Chief and would like to let him know where the picture has been posted. Please take the time to let me know if you add this to your archives. Best regards to all. Jeff
I suggest getting in touch with the Canadian Virtual War Memorial, who will be able to advise you. They have a list of memorials in Canada, which does not include this one. Michael
Thanks very much Michael. The database of memorials does have a page on the memorial. Moose Factory War Memorial - National Inventory of Canadian Military Memorials (NICMM) - Memorials - Remembrance - Veterans Affairs Canada It includes details that I did not have.
So it does - under 'Canadian Military Memorials Database' but not under 'Memorials in Canada: Ontario', where I had looked.
