Aircraft part discovery

    Hi, newly registered but have spent a fair bit of time on here heading down WWII rabbit holes.

    A Twitter friend of mine took interest in an aluminium find that I had posted. After a fair bit of discussion with the RAF Museum and a number of experts and enthusiasts, I was advised to post the find on here to see what you all thought of it.

    Found on the Norfolk coast in late December 2019, it measures approximately 35cm x 16cm and seems to have the ID stamp of 'FB58505' on it (pictured).

    I won't prejudice anyone's thinking as to what this may be by telling you what the RAF Museum's opinion is immediately. I would love to hear what people think and if this community is as knowledgeable as is rumoured.
