HMS Hood Sunk.

    On this day 24th May 1941 the German battleship Bismark sank HMS Hood off Greenland with the loss of all but three of her crew (more than 1400 perished)

    Terrible. I think that was why my Dad volunteered for the RNVR.

    Hi Anthony, welcome to the forum.
    Do feel free to post any photo's, records, of your relative here.Lots of info, ref RN, on here using the search facility / links etc.
    One of my uncles served throughout WW2 in the RN, glad to say he survived the war, he was a signalman.
