    Hi All,

I'm just wondering if any consideration was ever given for a medal or bar for those involved in the Siege of Calais?

    Thank you TD.

I did search, but obviously not well enough!

It is a shame that the Petition didn't get more votes. I was unaware of it.

Yeah. I gave it a shot. MOD and the Medals and Decorations Committee not interested and feel the existing 1939-45 campaign medal is sufficient (but how can the entire war be a campaign when separate campaign medals exist alongside it?)

Anyway, I was considering giving the Scottish Parliament a go seeing as I live north of the border and as they previously awarded a Lancastria medal

Even a clasp such as the Battle of Britain clasp would be something.

I know. I did suggest that also. Submitted an email to Scottish Government yesterday so we will see what their response is.
