It's sort of ''Eastern Frontish'' , I know some were plastered & whitewashed. The Glory of Russian Painting: Yefim Volkov Pyrohiv Stock Photos & Pyrohiv Stock Images - Alamy
Less & less convinced by this 'they're not mine, they're the boy's' angle. Seems like some serious spending has gone on here. Pushing teenage means. Be proud of your proclivities, mate. It's 2019. No need to hide.
It is a hobby that can get highly addictive. But as a friend of mine is wont to say, "It's never too late to have a happy childhood". So go for it mate, have fun and the Scratch building will get worse I warn you. I built a scale accurate 1/6th Cromwell...which will never be finished because I keep adding to it. That one's just for me! I even designed the running gear to match, exactly, to original war time drawings. So wheel hubs are accurate and so are wheels, which do actually bolt to the wheel hubs. Sprocket drive is also designed as individual components and all bolts together as per the originals. Hub, Horn Guides, Sprocket rings, the whole thing is all held together by miniature bolts. A work of art in it's own right!
Youngest has got the cottage out in the lounge at the mo. He had some more Soviets for his birthday. I know they a bit too clean as they are new. He's not had chance to weather them up yet. Edit. He put this image on his instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CGfxDNwBrBq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
