    Chris,

I've yet to read more of your link. In the meanwhile, I found the image below in a book that i bought. Just wondering if this was in every copy of the 48th Highlanders of Canada?

I don't know! Is it a bound page?

I should add "check the library copy" to my list of things to do at the library :)

Assuming it isn't a photocopy, I would suppose that you have Oliver Leese's personal copy--nice find!

Divisional/Corps/Army commanders were very often presented with complimentary copies of the histories of units under (or formerly under) their command.

Charley, you have got thinking with you saying this. Its not a photocopy, you can tell by the paper that its been typed on. I've only just clocked this, if you turn it to the right & hold it up to the light, i can see a watermark of a shield that has another smaller one in the middle that has a R in it. It also has three flowers at the bottom of it. Looks has if the bookseller may have dropped a whats it?:-P Edit; No its not a bound page. It was in the first few pages of the book!
    Regards,
    Stu.
