My dad was in Royal Corps of Signals and eventually in the 53rd Welsh Division. Does anyone know if any of the divisions were billeted in Droitwich Spa in 1940? My dad told me he met my mum there, she worked as a waitress at the Ayrshire House Hotel.
I don't recall so, would depend as they do move to Northern Ireland. However its is probable he was sent on various courses etc, or before his time in the Division. His Service Records should hold answers on this one.
