I have noticed that the duplicate listing for the civilian death is still on the CWGC site for Grimsby. His other listing has been altered to Edinburgh Crem.

Captain Sydney Charles Tessyman Toder was in command of the British merchant ship La Pampa. In February 1941 he reported that his ship had probably been successful in ramming a U-Boat; he was disbelieved by the authorities. I have since located the logbook of the U-boat that he damaged. On May 28 he was landed at Three Rivers with an ulcerated stomach and hospitalised in Montreal. He died there and lies buried in the Cimetiere Mont-Royal, Outremont Montreal Quebec. He is commemorated in St Peter's Church in his home town of Heswall, Wirral. 'Unrecognised you put us in your debt.' - John Masefield.

Obituary - Malcolm French - One of the many homes bereft of a loved one through the sinking of the S.S. Caribou in Cabot Strait on Oct. 14th, is that of Mrs. Annie French of Bay Roberts East, where for those left behind in that home, the sunshine, as it were, has gone out. This terrible blow from the enemy has caused them to mourn the loss of a dutiful son and brother. // Malcolm, who has already been referred to in this paper, is the eldest son of Mrs. and the late Richard French of this town, and was one of the gallant crew to forfeit his life on the unforgettable morning of Wednesday, October 14th. // Max., as he was generally known, was 35 years of age and had been in the employ of the Newfoundland Railway for 15 years, having served on the S.S. Sagona and the S.S. Clyde, and was latter transferred to the S.S. Caribou, where he held the position of 2nd Steward until the time of the fatal trip. // Just before he left home for this last trip he was heard to say “If I do not go, someone must tak
