    Interesting.
It's a copy of a sales page from a now defunct website. Seems to have been recovered a fair while back:

Sold in 2009, not yet found if that Werke# is now restored, but it seems to have been in Chino a few years ago.

Wonder what became of that FW190 on page one of this thread. We may have found out at some point, but it was a long time ago. Maybe Microsoft bloke had it?

Question about the engine in this well known ISU-152 video.

I know this video has been posted here before but I tried every combo of ISU and 152 in search and advanced search and got no hits.

What are the bent tubes at 1:10 mark? They look about 7mm in diameter. I would guess they are fuel injector lines but they don't look like they are connected to anything. Maybe there is a gap in the movie during which they reconnected them before they started it, if that is what they are. I seem to remember seeing longer versions of this one where they are turning the engine over with the battery before they brought in the compressor and the tubes were not connected then either, even while they were attemptint to start it. I'd be the guy at 0:52-0:54

They should bottle that water and sell it as a health drink.

Aye, the 250 looks all there, and preserved paint & markings are a fine thing.
I'm hoping it gets preserved rather than a total restoration.

Not a new one but I haven't seen this one before.

The traversing and elevation mechanisms still work. It looks like all it needs is a change of fluids and new batteries.

Nice. I hadn't seen it before. Thanks

The article says " It's thought that the tank could be one of the last surviving units to be produced at the Stalingrad Tractor Plant."

Surely not, right? It's an early model with the small turret and single large turret hatch

Another tank recovered by the Russians (this time by their navy)

    http://ww2awartobewon.com/wwii-news/russian-navy/

Now, more than 70 years after the sinking, the Russian Navy has retrieved an American Sherman tank from the wreck of the Thomas Donaldson, which was discovered by the Russian Navy in 2010. The tank was resting 55 meters under the sea and was found alongside artillery and anti-aircraft guns and other weapons and munitions.
The Russian Navy plans to carry out more wreck dives to find and salvage these WWII artifacts and display them in local history museums.

Looks like they're doing all the right things:

Much as I like to see a Crompton or Wheatcroft style restoration to 'factory fresh' state, this 'preservation' approach is perfect for that machine.
