F/Lt Nettleton

    On 19th April 1941 at 14 OTU my father flew with a F/Lt Nettleton.

    Was this the same Nettleton that won the VC a year later?

    Looks like the same man.

    W/C J.D NETTLETON
    November 1939 - 185 Sqn (Hampden) which became 14 OTU
    8-4-1940 serving until 26-6-1941 when posted to 44 Sqn !

    Yes. Nettleton had an accident while with 14 OTU when an airman walked into the spinning prop of his Hamden. I have the accident report.
