I have recently seen a copy of the World War 2 Bromley Situation Records (a/k/a Bomb Census) in Bromley Archives and there are codes in the register that I am not aware of:
    U.X.U.P.
    P.A.C.
    U.X. Cannon Shell
    Bomb Type - I.B.

    and in the Casualty columns:
    D - I assume this is Dead?
    S
    L

    Can anyone assist please.
    Many thanks

    U.X. is 'unexploded'
    I.B. is 'incendiary bomb'

I believe UXUP to be unexplored unrotated projectile from a Z battery

    PAC is parachute and cable

UX cannon shell is just that , unexploded shell of 40mm calibre and below

    UX Unexploded
    UXAAS Unexploded Anti-Aircraft Shell
    UXAPB Unexploded Anti-Personnel Bomb
    UXB Unexploded Bomb
    UXIB Unexploded Incendiary Bomb
    UXPM Unexploded Parachute Mine
    UXPS Unexploded Proximity Shell
    UXUP Unexploded Unrotated Projectile
    UXUPS Unexploded Unrotated Projectile Shell

D is dead and I think S is seriously wounded/injured and L is lightly wounded/injured.

    Hello
Is a PH. I.B. a Phosphorous Incendiary Bomb?

Not to worry about this one as I have just realized that it stands for Delayed Action.

    Thanks for that Tim.
I now have another question - c.c. Fly bomb. Obviously the Fly bomb is an abbreviation for Flying bomb or V.1 but c.c.?

Sorry, no idea. Absolutely random guess might be 'crater caused'.

Some more abbreviations / codes from the Penge Situation Report Record. These are from the U.X.B. section:
B.D.S. No. - A one, two, three or four figure number
Reporting Agent - Anything from P.1 to P.8
    Category - A, B, C, or D

    Thanks again

Category is the order of priority in defusing/ disposal
