All, I may be visiting Tripoli any time between the end of September and the beginning of November. So, if anyone would like a grave photographed at Tripoli War Cemetery then PM me your request and your email address so I know where to send the results. No wants here `KUNO` very kindly photographed the head stones I needed just before the war. A very generous offer from `SKIP` Just a note lads (and lasses) the CWGC have posted the following on their website regarding headstones at the cemetery;- "NOTE: Visitors to Libya may wish to note that a major renovation programme is planned for a number of our cemeteries in the country. Headstones and other features, which have become eroded over time by the harsh climate, are scheduled for replacement. Further details will be made available shortly. We apologise for any inconvenience and we would respectfully ask visitors to be patient with us while this work is ongoing." Kyle

Pleased to report that the CWGC gardeners are doing a fine job and Tripoli War Cemetery is, as you would expect, a serene oasis of green amidst an unsettled city ...
