    Hi all,

This is my first post, so hopefully I detail things correctly.

My Uncle Ronald Harold Newman (14284330) served in the above regiment and was killed in action in Italy on the 10th February 1944. We have visited the war grave in Minturno Italy which was very humbling.

We are trying to find out any information on his time in Italy and maybe even any information in regards to the lead up to his death.

    Any help would be great
    Thanks
    Dan

    Dan.

There is only one crossroads in San Lorenzo - as it was then, so he must have been killed there. The modern San Lorenzo stretches now towards Minturno. I have walked passed it many times and there is a photo somewhere of a Sherman tank at the same location.

    Regards
