    Hello,
I am researching my father's wartime service and looking for information about 112 LAA Regt RA. Dad (4448111 Gnr Alex Gallagher), served with the unit from Jan 1942 to Oct 1945. I have obtained his army service records from the MOD but they give no detail about the unit's activities or movements. I would particularly be interested in a copy of the war diaries.
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    Hi Bryan

Glad to see the suggestion worked.

If you scan his records then you can 'upload a file' (or files) in the reply box and place them on here for members to read and help answer your questions (hopefully).

Thought the following might be of interest.
    Ron's wartime diary:
Feb ’43 Haltwhistle, Northumberland. Posted to the 112th L.A.A. Regiment.
(They were on a battle training course at the time)

I was only with the regiment for a month and was then posted to Congleton in Cheshire to join a draft of Driver/Ops being sent to Tunisia as re-inforcements to the 1st Army,
