Edward Carter-Edwards passed away on February 22nd, 2017 at age 94. Ed was a wireless operator and shot down on June 8th flying in a Halifax Blll, LV987 ZL K, with RCAF 427 (Lion) Squadron and subsequently incarcerated at Buchenwald. "As we entered the camp, we could see the people inside. And were greeted not physically, but surrounding the camp were 45,000 walking skeletons."
