I'm still new to the site, so if this is not the correct place to post i hope an Administrator will forward this posting to the correct area.
I would be very happy if anyone here with ALOT more experience could find any information on my Grandfather that served in the second world war.
I'll give you all the info i know, and if specific information is needed then message me, and i will try to find it for you.
    What i know
    The battle:
    Velikiye Luki

    Name: Noorkoiv
Army: Estonia, fighting for the Red Army (It's all i know)
    Died: 1994
Wish i could provide you with more info, and mabe i can if you ask me some questions, cause my dad will know more than me. I know he was on a war memorial saying he was missing in action, but in reality he fled to england to escape communism (i can assume).Once russia found out, they erased his name off of the memorial. Thanks again if you bother to reserch this, i know there's not much in it for you, but you will jsut help me, and i'm sure my dad will be grateful to your search.

Yes, to my knowladge that is the corecct battle. Noorkoiv was his Surname. I had serched myself and had found sites that were "Inaccurate" in date, but namewise they stated he may have been a Capatin. It may be incorrect but he had 3 sons if i'm correct names peter, leo and alan. I hope this helps. Feel free to ask more.
