After photograph of Duncan Gay, of Helensburgh, who served at RAF Helensburgh/MAEE as part of my research. He served from the outbreak of WW11 as a civilian observer during trials of flying boats. He was also a Royal Naval reserve officer, who was trapped on an X-craft on Loch Striven but managed an escape robin bird
