Vehicle - North Africa

    I offer the attached photo for identification. It was with my father's photos from North Africa. Half of the photo is gone so you can't even see the front end. That makes the puzzle even more of a challenge in identifying it.

    Any thoughts?

    I'd say, most likely a Mercedes 1500:
    Mercedes Benz L 1500 A
    Very Mercedes wheels.

    Failing that (I have some doubts as most Merc variants don't appear to have that rear curve on the corner of the body, and can't quite work out the shape of the back wheel arch in the pic) It's one of the Horches, an 801 perhaps. The Utility/einheits bodies across manufacturers become more standardised towards their rear end so it becomes mildly trickier.
