    Hi all,

I found this annex in Admiral Cunningham's "A Sailor's Odyssey" and thought it might be of interest:

Cunningham - Sailors Odyssey - North Africa Annex 1.JPG

Annex II consists of a commentary which I'll try to post up tomorrow.

Cunningham also makes some interesting remarks about the challenge the arrival of the Luftwaffe in Sicily in early 1941 created for attempts to support the British army forward through Benghazi. Food for thought for all the "on to Tripoli" arguments. :pipe:

    Regards

    Tom

    Hi Andreas,

Apologies, it seems I returned the book to the library without copying the second Annex.

    Regard

The chart intrigued me, as IMHO you rarely see such documents. The Annex II is of interest too. Notably for the 13th passage and the second sentence states:
The book 'A Sailor's Odyssey' was first published in 1951, long before Allied code breaking was in the public domain; so how did the author's helper Captain A. A. Adair get this information?

Added: I fully accept after the Italian exit from being a German ally debriefing of Italians and access to their records may offer an explanation too.

They also had a lot of captured German records.
