Dr, Jonathan Boff has announced his exit from the NAM Council and they seek a military historian to succeed him:

    Stefan,

That would be an interesting test question!

    An excellent suggestion, Stefan.

The NAM has a Royal Patron, HRH the Duke of Kent, who regularly gives apologies for not attending National Army Museum Council meetings and so there is a precedent, given the Saxe Coburg, House of Windsor, etc., distant family tree connections of the said patron:

Be warned: the Council meeting minutes are rather dull.

Council members do get expenses but they might not agree to expensive journeys from Germany.

If you are thinking of applying there is a "person specification."

    Good luck.

    Thanks John.
as soon as my book about the spectacular escape by British officers from a local POW camp in 1941 is ready I might want to go on a promotion tour around the UK.
    Please keep your fingers crossed.
    Stefan.
