Hi everyone, I'm a sports reporter in Seattle and I'm working on a story about Bert Shepard, the WWII pilot who lost his leg and then pitched in the major leagues. Bert spent about 8 months at Stalag IX-C, but I'm having a really tough time finding any accounts of what Stalag IX-C was like. Just wondering if anyone might be able to help. I'd really appreciate it.
