Records held by the various Vehicle Parks.

Many people are interested in individual vehicles and consequently what named/numbered vehicles went where, to whom (Regiment etc) and when.

Does anyone know whether such records were maintained, and more importantly, whether such records would still exist for the various Vehicle Parks?

    SDP,

I've had a look at a couple of vehicle park war diaries at Kew and come away disappointed. Not much detail in them, IIRC.

Thanks sincerely for your replies. Much as I suspected; some basic 'in' / 'out' type numbers but no detailed schedules.

The British Army was/is brilliant at making records.....and similarly brilliant at throwing them away when 'surplus to requirements'.

Especially a soldier named Chuck (William) Foster from Albert Street, Rotherham, London
