3190842 John Nelson Paul, 2 battery 1 LAA regiment Royal Artillery, he was taken POW 3/10/43 - I believe the unit was on Kos at this point
7907875 Donald Price EVANS, Intelligence Corps - POW 1/6/42 at Gazala - its a shame his photo has been removed from his POW card
Thanks for attaching his German POW records Alastair. I’ve never seen those forms previously. I obtained my father’s POW Index Card when I submitted FOI to NA a few years ago. Did you get them from the newly digitised German records at Kew? Steve
The POW is the original and came with the paybook, I'm under the impression that in some camps on liberation some men took their cards as souvenirs - I think I have another but cant seem to find it - I've seen a few for sale over the years but not many. Alistair
3855805 Frederick Owen Halton of the 2nd Loyals who was taken prisoner at the fall of Singapore - an affidavit he provided is online here http://www.mansell.com/pow_resources/camplists/fukuoka/fuku_5_omine/FUK-05_Halton_affidavit-s.pdf
Hi Alistair, The researchers at Cofepow only put the first page up on line I'm afraid. The form itself can be up to five pages long, other questions were set around, sabotage, lectures attended, treatment by Japanese etc. I have seen very few of these questionnaires where these other pages are filled out, so the chances are Frederick's form would have no further information. Steve
3857260 Sergeant Gordon Eric MELLALIEU, who was captured with 18th Recce at the fall of Singapore - I wonder if he knew Trooper Norcross also of 18th Recce who features earlier in the thread
From WO392/21 POW's held by Italians as of August 1943: DP. Evans said to be at Campo 65, Gravina. This listing has been known to contain errors.

Alistair, RE: DP. Evans. There is a thread on the forum in relation to Campo 65, including a Red Cross Report and some photographs of the camp, or what is left of it today. Thought you might want to take a look. Campo 65 Gravina Report Steve
member Vitellino has a web site for this camp I think - I would check with her as well if you want TD
Incorrect transcription in his middle name by Ancestry England & Wales, Civil Registration Death Index, 1916-2007 Name: William Alfred Honeybunn Death Age: 69 Birth Date: 5 Jan 1920 Registration Date: Apr 1989 Registration district: Kingsbridge Inferred County: Devon Volume: 21 Page: 1326 TD ? is he Albert or Alfred ??
I hadn't even noticed he had 2 different middle names on his 2 books, the part 2 (Alfred) is the original one he had pre capture and the part 1 (Albert) was a replacement when he was liberated so probably done more hurriedly - looking at the other odds and ends of paperwork 2 mention Alfred Alistair
W A Honeybunn held and liberated from Hiroshima 3B. http://www.mansell.com/pow_resources/camplists/hiroshima/hiro_3_tomano/HIR-03_British_roster-s.pdf Ho Database I think he arrived at this camp having previously been on the Burma Thailand Death Railway but I'm having difficulty reading the documents as they are very faint.
