    Good evening

I wonder if anyone can help with the ID of this man's uniform insignia ie the 'Anchor' on his left shoulder?

My son-in-law thinks he may be a member of the Royal Navy who's done the Commando Course but is not sure.

Any help with the medal ribbon ID would also be appreciated.

    Thank you in anticipation.

    Kind Regards

    David

Why would a British soldier have that ?
To me I 'd say it was the anchor worn bya member of a Beach Group.

Cause I thought Beach groups had red anchor shoulder patches

But then I could be really wrong - its happened before
