Help Required re Brian Guy's funeral and Military representation

    Dear all,

    Just been talking to Brian's Grandson, James, and he would like to organise some military representation at Brian's funeral but he does not know where to start. I am out of the country at the moment but I guess at a minimum we need to contact the Legion in Swanage and the Normandy Veteran's Association and perhaps a loal RE Unit? Is there anyone here in the Swanage / Dorser region who can help with this?

    Just discovered that the NVA disbanded in 2014 so need the Legion in Swanage and a Local RE Unit. I shall put a shout out on the Sapper's pages I frequent. Can anyone offer any other contacts?

    I've put the family in touch with the RE Association at both HQ and Branch level. The REA will not allow Brian's passing to go unremarked. Incidentally, I was talking to the RE Museum lately and they have no info on Brian or even a copy of his memoirs....The place has never been the same since civvy's were allowed to curate the collection!
