Just saw this lot on 'Paul Merton In Europe'.
Never heard of them before.

After leaving the memorial, Paul stumbles upon what looks like a neo-Nazi rally – but is surprised to find the protesters’ uniforms adorned with apples instead of swastikas. A friendly protester called Henry explains that they are the Apple Front, a peaceful organisation that holds demonstrations outside the offices of far-right parties. “We are making fun of Nazis,” says Henry. The group’s leader, Alf, is convinced that comedy is central to the fight against far-right extremism – but also confesses that he enjoys playing the role of Führer. “Every German has a little Adolf inside,” says Alf. “This has to be one of the bizarrest political movements I’ve ever encountered!” concludes an amused Paul.

The Front Deutscher Äpfel (short F.D.Ä.; German for Front of German Apples), also called Apfelfront (Apple Front) is a satirical organisation, founded in Leipzig in 2004. It satirizes right extremist parties, especially the Nationaldemokratische Partei Deutschlands (NPD). In the style of former and existing right extremist organisational structures it is subdivided into numerous sub-groups like the youth organisation Nationales Frischobst Deutschland (NFD; National Fresh Fruit of Germany), the women's organisation Bund weicher Birnen (B.W.B.; League of Soft Pears, compare League of German Girls; Birne, pear, is a German colloquial term for head, "eine weiche Birne haben" ("to have a soft pear"), is synonymous to "being very stupid") and many further local Gaue.

I can honestly say that I have not heard of this Group or ever seen them mentioned in our papers and News reports.

I agree with Tom, this is the first time I have seen these Apfelfront guys, but YouTube is full of it, all in German though.
