    On His Majesty' Service - USN Officer attached. Convoy drills, signals from convoy escorts - another thread on this forum asks of HMS Bulolo - signals from her to HMS Birmingham (PM sent although this is of an earlier time) Diary and signals from other actions: Anti submarine screens, zig zag drills etc. Crossing the line Neptune. Spent Xmas Day -HMS Hood 1940.

    Roxy,

    If you have not done so already, you can get a fantastic view of the city and the Mersey from the roof of the cathedral's bell tower.

    Thanks, mate. I'll give it a go. Whenever I've flown down the Mersey, I've been below the top of the Cathedral! :biggrin:

    On His Majesty's Service -Lt Cdr JH Wellings USN: Report Convoy SL 70 (17). 9/4/41 (Official Diary)

    A ship was seen showing lights, refusing to comply with orders machine gun fire near the ship got a reply. HMS Bulolo was ordered to board. The Vichy ship did not signal convoy location but must have drawn attention..........
